Es Cubells Church

This one is located in the southwest.

It’s a small diamond like you sometimes find when you wander around the island.

The church of Es Cubells is a typical Ibiza building with its white facade and buttresses on the sides of the nave. The building was built in the 19th century by the monk Francesc Palau who had asked Rome’s permission to hold masses in the Es Cubells Valley. The church, dedicated to the Virgen del Carmen, was then renovated in the 1950s while retaining its old soul. It is to soak up this authenticity that many French couples choose this building to put the ring on their finger.

It must be said that the church offers, beyond its typical architecture, a breathtaking view of the Cala d’Es Cubells and Cape Llentrisca. Es Cubells is located 6 kilometres from Sant Josep, and you might as well know that the road to get there is worth a visit. Starting from Sant Josep you will cross a road in the middle of the hills. Once you arrive in Es Cubells, you will be amazed by the panorama of this small village nestled on the cliffside, in the heart of nature.

You can admire the coast and its superb villas. A word of advice, take the opportunity to relax on the small beach of Ses boques, a small creek in a quiet place. From there a nice walk along the cliff awaits you. It is a half-hour walk to Cala Llentrisca, a little-used beach and a real landmark for local fishermen. Perfect for resting in peace, listening to the sound of the waves.
